Page, Arizona, USA
Lake Powell Chronicle is a weekly newspaper covering Page, Arizona, and the Lake Powell area. The CSV listing's title ("Lake Powell Life") does not match any identified publication; this entry documents the Lake Powell Chronicle, the actual news organization serving this market.
A corporation called Lake Powell Enterprises was formed in August 1965 to purchase radio station KPGE and launch the Lake Powell Chronicle, freely mailed to Page residents; Royce Knight was named president. By 2005 the paper was owned by News Media Corporation, a family-owned publisher based in Rochelle, Illinois. In early August 2025, News Media Corporation ceased operations entirely, citing financial challenges and a failed sale attempt, closing the Chronicle along with five Arizona papers and dozens of others in four states. On Aug. 21, 2025, O'Rourke Media Group announced the acquisition of the Lake Powell Chronicle along with the Arizona Silver Belt and Copper Country News from News Media Corporation; the sale closed Aug. 31, 2025, and the paper resumed publication.
Publishes the Gateway to Canyon Country magazine. Circulation was just over 1,300 as of 2022.
