Daphne Kwon is NPR's chief financial officer and treasurer, appointed by then-president and CEO John Lansing effective June 26, 2023, following a national search assisted by Russell Reynolds Associates. She oversees NPR's financial, administrative, and facilities operations. Kwon began her career at Morgan Stanley as a mergers-and-acquisitions financial analyst before moving to The Walt Disney Company as a corporate strategic planning senior analyst and then to ABC Television Group, where as director of business development she led the launch of several digital television networks. She was part of the founding team at Betaworks Studios as president, served as Oxygen Media's first CFO and grew the company's revenue to $150 million, was CFO at Goop where she tripled revenue through the launch of e-commerce and digital sponsorship businesses, and served as chief strategy officer at Meredith Corporation, leading the multiplatform media company's push into digital growth. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA from the University of Michigan.
