Kendallville, Indiana, USA
KPC News is the shared news website of KPC Media Group Inc., a privately owned publisher of daily and weekly newspapers based in Kendallville, Indiana, covering 16 counties in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.
KPC traces to the Noble County Journal (c. 1860) and the Weekly News (1877) of Kendallville. Their successors, the Daily Sun and Daily News, merged in August 1911 to form the Kendallville News-Sun under the newly formed Kendallville Publishing Company Inc. Alice Merica, who inherited the paper in 1918, remained publisher until her death in 1969 at age 103, making her the oldest newspaper publisher in the United States at the time. Under publisher George O. Witwer (1969-2001) the company expanded into Auburn and Angola. The company was renamed KPC Media Group Inc. in 2005 to reflect its broadened footprint, and later expanded into Fort Wayne.
The News Sun, KPC's flagship daily, marked its 100th anniversary in 2011. KPC has produced a 150-year history of Kendallville, Indiana (2013).
