Biography

Chester Koprovic is a Fort Smith, Arkansas, businessman specializing in the metal and metal fabrication industry, and an investor in Natural State Media, the parent company of the Arkansas news and public affairs outlet Talk Business & Politics. He co-founded Boyd Metals, Inc., a full-line steel service center, in Fort Smith in 1991 along with Tom Kennon and Ron Tabor, and served as its board chairman; the company was acquired by Toronto-based Russel Metals in a $110 million deal in November 2021. He also serves as board chairman of B & C of Fort Smith, a general machine and welding shop, and Kopco, Inc., a precision metal fabrication shop. He has served on the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, having been reappointed by Governor Mike Beebe.
