The Khon Kaen University Intellectual Repository (KKUIR) is the institutional repository of Khon Kaen University (KKU), Thailand's first and oldest university in the northeastern region. The repository preserves and disseminates the scholarly and research outputs of the university.
Khon Kaen University was established in 1964 as an institute of technology for engineering and agriculture in northeastern Thailand, and was formally renamed and established as a legal entity in 1966. It is one of Thailand's nine national research universities and is widely recognised for its research in medicine, engineering, and agriculture. The university has more than 40,000 students and approximately 2,200 academic staff.
KKUIR holds theses, dissertations, research articles, and other scholarly works produced by KKU faculty, researchers, and graduate students. The repository supports open access to the university's intellectual output in support of KKU's mission as a leading research university in the Mekong region.
The repository is accessible online at kkuir.kku.ac.th/dspace. It is built on the DSpace open-source repository platform and is registered with the Directory of Open Access Repositories (OpenDOAR).
