Use of DataTalla Charlamayne Khattat is Newsjunkie’s senior reporter and newsletter editor. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Talla grew up in sunny Orange County. She recently graduated in 2024 from UCLA’s College of Letters and Science with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Film, TV, & Media Studies. She has a background in writing, research, PR, film, and editing.
Talla joined Newsjunkie in July 2023 as our first journalism intern, where she wrote profiles on the leading newspapers of the world. She has written over 30 pieces on various topics and persons, uncovering ownership structures behind news publishers and the news ecosystem. As the newsletter editor of Newsjunkie’s newsletter, *The Fix,* Talla focuses on increasing audience engagement and fostering a sense of community within the journalism field and readers.
