KUSA-TV (9NEWS, Denver) - Investigative Reporter / Video Journalist
Jeremy Jojola spent nearly 15 years as an investigative reporter for 9Wants to Know, the investigative unit of KUSA-TV (9NEWS) in Denver, Colorado, which he joined in August 2011, and currently works as a video journalist for its parent company. Before coming to Colorado, he worked as a reporter and anchor for KOB-TV in New Mexico, where his family has lived for generations, as well as at KASA-TV and KTSM-TV. In 2020, he received the Don Bolles Medal, a national award from Investigative Reporters and Editors, for his coverage of extremist and white supremacist groups in Colorado, reporting that came after members of a local group showed up at his home while his wife and newborn were inside. His investigations have prompted Colorado state legislation addressing at-risk adults abandoned in hospitals, and his reporting on human trafficking and illicit massage parlors led to criminal indictments in 2020. Over his career he has won 20 regional Emmy awards and a regional Edward R. Murrow award, and was twice named 'Best Specialty Reporter' by the Colorado Broadcasters Association. In 2026, he was honored by the Society of Professional Journalists Colorado Pro chapter for sustained reporting holding Denver-area police departments accountable.
