The JKUAT Institutional Repository is the open-access digital repository of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), located in Juja, Kiambu County, Kenya. It collects, preserves, and distributes the digital scholarly output of the university, including theses, dissertations, journal articles, conference proceedings, and research project reports.
The repository was established following the adoption of JKUAT's Open Access Institutional Policy on 22 June 2012. The policy development process began after an EIFL-funded workshop in August 2010 on open access for research dissemination. The resulting open access committee, chaired by Professor Kamau Ngamau, developed the policy, and the repository was subsequently launched. The repository became part of JKUAT's performance contract for 2012–2013.
