The Islamic University of Technology (IUT) Institutional Repository is a DSpace-based open-access digital repository operated by the Islamic University of Technology, located at Board Bazar, Gazipur, Bangladesh. The repository collects, preserves, and distributes the scholarly output of IUT — including theses, dissertations, research papers, and conference proceedings — making them freely accessible to researchers worldwide.
IUT is an international university and a subsidiary organ of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), established in 1981 at the Ninth Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers held in Dakar, Senegal. The institution was initially known as the Islamic Centre for Technical and Vocational Training and Research (ICTVTR); it was renamed the Islamic Institute of Technology (IIT) in 1994, and formally inaugurated as the Islamic University of Technology in November 2001. IUT offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical and production engineering, computer science, and technical education, primarily for students from OIC member states.
The IUT Institutional Repository archives research from all academic departments. The repository is particularly strong in engineering and applied sciences research, reflecting IUT's core academic focus. Items are cataloged with metadata and are searchable by department, author, date, and subject. It is built on the DSpace open-source platform, widely used by universities globally.
