Robert Kenneth Irving (1954-2026) was a Canadian businessman and philanthropist based in Moncton, New Brunswick, and a member of the prominent Irving family. A grandson of Kenneth Colin Irving and son of James K. Irving, he served as co-CEO of J.D. Irving, Limited alongside his brother Jim, and was president of Irving Tissue and of Cavendish Farms, a major North American producer of frozen potato products. Along with his father and brother, Robert was a co-owner of Brunswick News Inc., the company that published all three of New Brunswick's English-language daily newspapers - the Telegraph-Journal, the Daily Gleaner and the Times & Transcript - until the family sold the papers to Postmedia Network in 2022. He was also founder and owner of the Moncton Wildcats junior hockey team. Irving was named a Member of the Order of New Brunswick in 2024 and died of cancer on May 19, 2026, at age 71.
