The Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) Digital Library, known as Digilib ITB, is the institutional digital library of Indonesia's premier public research university. ITB itself was founded on 2 March 1959 when two faculties of the University of Indonesia in Bandung became a separate academic entity under President Sukarno. The central library (UPT Perpustakaan ITB) supports the full academic and research programme of the university, while Digilib ITB provides online access to institutional publications and academic outputs.
Digilib ITB serves as the primary digital repository for ITB's academic output, including final-year undergraduate projects, master's theses, doctoral dissertations, and research publications. The repository is searchable online and provides access to full texts of academic works produced by ITB students and faculty. ITB was a pioneering institution in Indonesia's digital library network (IndonesiaDLN), developing the Ganesha Digital Library (GDL) software in the early 2000s with support from Canada's International Development Research Centre, which became a model for institutional repositories across Indonesia.
The digital library is freely accessible at digilib.itb.ac.id. The physical library at the Ganesha campus in Bandung is open to ITB academic community members and external researchers, with hours varying by semester. Contact for digital library matters is digilib@itb.ac.id. The library also hosts an American Corner and SNI Corner for international and standards resources.
