Hong Kong Memory (香港記憶) is an online digital archive platform operated by the Hong Kong Public Libraries (HKPL) under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government. The platform collects, digitizes, and provides public access to materials documenting Hong Kong's cultural heritage, history, and collective memory, with a particular focus on materials that might otherwise be difficult to access or at risk of loss.
Hong Kong Memory was launched as a digital heritage initiative to harness the power of digitization and online access to preserve and disseminate materials relating to Hong Kong's history and culture. It draws on the collections of public libraries, museums, and private donors, as well as community contributions, to build a comprehensive digital record of Hong Kong's past.
