Boston Globe Media Partners - Chief Executive Officer and Co-owner
Linda Pizzuti Henry is chief executive officer and co-owner of Boston Globe Media Partners, the parent company of The Boston Globe, Boston.com, Boston magazine, and STAT News. Born in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, she earned a bachelor's degree from Babson College and a master's degree in real estate development from MIT in 2005, and began her career in real estate development and banking. She and her husband, John W. Henry, principal owner of Fenway Sports Group, acquired The Boston Globe from The New York Times Company in 2013. Henry served as the Globe's managing director for seven years, during which she expanded the company's events business, guided the market repositioning of Boston.com, and co-founded HUBweek, an innovation festival in partnership with Harvard, MIT, and Massachusetts General Hospital. In November 2020, she was named CEO of Boston Globe Media Partners, becoming the first woman to run the Globe in its nearly 150-year history. As CEO, she has overseen the company's digital transformation, newsroom expansion including a Rhode Island bureau, and diversification of the leadership team. She chairs the Boston Globe Foundation, whose programs include Globe Santa, and is an Emmy Award-winning producer, having created the GlobeDocs documentary film festival and served as an executive producer on projects including the series Murder in Boston: Roots, Rampage, and Reckoning (2023).
