Biography

Scott Hennen is a North Dakota radio broadcaster and media executive who has hosted talk radio in the state since 1984. In 1986 he helped launch KCNN in Grand Forks, North Dakota's first all-talk radio station, and he later became general manager of WDAY through Forum Communications before expanding his program, "What's On Your Mind?," statewide. Hennen is co-owner of Flag Family Media, which operates AM 1100 and AM 1090 "The Flag" and WDAY AM 970, and is a partner in the Fieldstone Group, a public relations and communications consulting firm. His program, syndicated across North Dakota, western Minnesota and parts of South Dakota and simulcast on BEK-TV, has featured U.S. presidents, governors and members of Congress, including a long-running weekly town hall with U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer. The Wall Street Journal has called him "the Rush Limbaugh of the prairie."
