Gabrielle Gurley is a senior editor at The American Prospect, where she writes and edits coverage of states and cities, economic development and infrastructure, elections, and climate. She moderates panel discussions and manages the Prospect's intern program. Her work has also appeared in HuffPost, RealClearPolitics, Common Dreams, AlterNet, and Publishers Weekly, among other outlets. She won a 2024 National Association of Black Journalists award for her coverage of Baltimore and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication's 2021 Gene Burd Award for Excellence in Urban Journalism for a feature on the pandemic's effect on public transit.
