Guardian Media Group is a media company founded in 1907 and based in London, UK. It publishes two major UK newspapers, The Guardian and The Observer. Guardian Media group is owned by Scott Trust Limited, which was established in 1936 and transferred ownership from the Scott family to a group of trustees. According to The Guardian’s website, Scott Trust Limited exists “to secure the financial and editorial independence of the Guardian.”
