The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi, TBMM) was established in Ankara on 23 April 1920. From its inception, the Assembly has maintained official records of its plenary sessions. The parliamentary proceedings (tutanaklar) represent one of the most complete continuous legislative records in Turkish history, covering the full span of the Republic from its founding to the present day. These records are maintained by the TBMM's institutional services and are accessible through the official parliamentary website.
The Tutanak Metinleri archive contains verbatim transcripts of all Grand National Assembly plenary sessions from 1920 onward, covering more than a century of Turkish legislative history. Researchers have used digitized versions of these records—spanning from 1920 to 2015 and beyond—to create linguistic corpora and conduct quantitative analyses of parliamentary speech. The archive also includes published versions in the TBMM Tutanak Dergisi (Parliamentary Proceedings Journal). Collections are organized by legislative term and session.
The proceedings are publicly accessible online through the TBMM's official website at tbmm.gov.tr. Users can search and download transcripts of plenary sessions. The TBMM Library and Research Services (Araştırma Hizmetleri Başkanlığı) supports research use of parliamentary materials. Physical access is available at TBMM's premises in Ankara.
