Use of DataBarton David Gellman is an independent American journalist and author. He received a BA in Social Studies from Harvard University and an M.Phil in politics from the University of Oxford. He is considered an expert in investigative journalism, national security, intelligence, and foreign policy
Gellman is also a senior advisor for the Brennan Center for Justice, and visiting lecturer at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.. He authored two books, “Dark Mirror: Edward Snowdon and the American Surveillance State,” and “Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency.”
Gellman became part of the Washington Post investigative journalists team that publicly exposed US involvement in global surveillance, based on leaked documents from Edward Snowdon. Gellman and the rest of the investigative team earned a Pulitzer Prize for this work.
