Use of DataG/O Media Inc. is an American media holding company. G/O was formed in April 2019 when private equity firm Great Hill Partners purchased the Gizmodo Media Group from Univision. Univision had acquired Gizmodo after the Peter Thiel-funded Bollea ("Hulk Hogan") v. Gawker lawsuit and subsequent bankruptcy in 2016.
