Fraser Valley Current is a local news outlet covering Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Langley, Mission, Hope and the rest of the Fraser Valley, British Columbia, delivered through a newsletter published three times weekly. It is published by Overstory Media Group.
Fraser Valley Current launched March 22, 2021, founded by journalist Tyler Olsen, who had previously worked at small newspapers in Vernon, Chilliwack and Abbotsford, and was one of Overstory Media Group's first hires. Overstory was founded in 2021 by Farhan Mohamed and Andrew Wilkinson, building on the model established by their earlier publication, Capital Daily, in Victoria. Fraser Valley Current has won the Jack Webster Award in 2022 and 2024 and the National Newspaper Award in 2023, and was a finalist for the National Newspaper Award in 2022 and 2024.
