The Fort Worth History Center, part of the Fort Worth Public Library system, serves as the official municipal archives of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, and a resource for local history and genealogy researchers.
The History Center collects the stories and supporting documentation of Fort Worth's people, places, businesses, organizations, and events. It is distinct from the National Archives at Fort Worth, a separate federal facility.
Holdings include local history and genealogy collections. The History Center partners with the University of North Texas Libraries' Portal to Texas History to make digitized materials available online, and also maintains the Fort Worth Public Library Digital Archives.
Archives collections are stored offsite and require a minimum of three business days for retrieval. The History Center is located at 501 E. Bolt Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
