FOIA (U.S. Dept of Justice)

FOIA is an acronym for the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. §552). This US law, created in 1966, requires the full or partial disclosure of previously unreleased or uncirculated information and documents controlled by the US government upon request through the U.S. Dept. of Justice based in Washington, DC.
