Lahontan Valley News & Fallon Eagle Standard is a weekly newspaper published Wednesdays in Fallon, Nevada, covering Churchill County.
The Fallon Eagle Standard traces to two rival papers: the Churchill Standard, founded December 19, 1903, which became the Fallon Standard in 1920, and the Fallon Eagle, founded 1927. William J. Carey of the Fallon Eagle purchased the Standard in 1958, merging the two as the Eagle-Standard. The paper later combined with the Lahontan Valley News, founded in 1903 by Burt Hanson, under the Lahontan Valley Printing, Inc. banner in 1985. The combined publications were sold, along with the Nevada Appeal and The Record-Courier, to Pacific Publishing Company in 2019, forming Nevada News Group. On January 1, 2025, Pacific Publishing sold the Nevada News Group titles to Eagle Valley Publishing, a company founded in Carson City in 2023 by Adam Trumble, editor of the Nevada Appeal.
