eKNUTSHIR is the open electronic institutional repository of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU), operated by the M. Maksymovych Scientific Library of the university. The repository is built on the DSpace-CRIS platform and complies with open access and open science principles. It is registered in the OpenDOAR global directory, the ROR registry, and indexed by OpenAIRE, the European open research infrastructure. In 2025, eKNUTSHIR successfully passed validation for compliance with OpenAIRE quality and technical requirements, substantially increasing the international visibility of KNU's research outputs.
eKNUTSHIR accumulates, systematizes, and stores documents created by employees, doctoral students, postgraduate students, and students of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Holdings include journal articles, conference and workshop papers, theses and dissertations, reports and working papers, and other materials across all academic disciplines represented at the university, including arts, engineering, health and medicine, humanities, mathematics, science, social sciences, and technology.
eKNUTSHIR is freely accessible online. Metadata is harvestable via OAI-PMH at the repository's endpoint. Users can search and download content without registration. The repository supports open science by making research freely available for the benefit of science and society.
