Marco Dubé became CBC/Radio-Canada's vice-president of people and culture on July 1, 2019, responsible for leading the corporation's human resources services and modernizing its HR function. Originally from Northern Ontario, he began his career with Radio-Canada in 1996 as a news reporter, holding positions in news and programming in Sudbury, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa. He served as managing director of the Ottawa-Gatineau Radio-Canada production centre from 2012 to 2015, then as interim vice-president of strategy and public affairs, before overseeing all of Radio-Canada's regional services from 2016 to 2018. Before his appointment to his current role, he led development of the corporation's three-year strategy, Your Stories, Taken to Heart. Dubé holds a bachelor of arts from Laurentian University, a certificate in social communication from Saint-Paul University, a master of communication from the University of Ottawa, a certificate of management excellence from Harvard Business School, and a strategic human resources leadership certificate from Cornell University.
