Biography

Patrick Dorsey has been publisher of the Santa Fe New Mexican, a family-owned daily newspaper in New Mexico, since 2023, succeeding Tom Cross. He previously served as publisher of the Austin American-Statesman in Texas, and before that held publisher roles at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune and Tallahassee Democrat in Florida. While publisher of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, he oversaw the newsroom that won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Investigative Reporting for a collaboration with the Tampa Bay Times documenting conditions in Florida's mental health hospitals. He holds degrees in business administration from Old Dominion University.
