Overview

Digital Archives @ UP Diliman is the official institutional repository of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD), the flagship campus of the University of the Philippines system. As the system's flagship campus, it is also responsible for the permanent records of the offices of the UP System. The repository identifies, acquires, maintains, preserves, and provides access to the university's digital institutional records and memory.

Collections and Holdings

The repository holds digital records across several major categories: Personal Papers, Presidential Papers, Theses and Dissertations, University Records, and UPIANA (materials related to the University of the Philippines). It preserves the official records of the Board of Regents, the Executive Committee, the University Council, and administrative officials, as well as records of individual Diliman colleges and units. Official publications such as the UP Gazette, UP Newsletter, and Philippine Collegian are included, along with reports of committees created by the University President and Board of Regents, memorabilia, photographs, and theses and dissertations. The University Archives, established in 1974, forms the physical counterpart to the digital repository.

Notable Materials

Materials of particular interest include the Philippine Collegian student newspaper archive, the UP Gazette, and rare periodicals digitised from the Special Collections section. These represent significant primary sources for research into Philippine higher education, politics, and social history.

Access and Usage

The Digital Archives @ UP Diliman is accessible at digitalarchives.upd.edu.ph. Researchers may also submit theses and dissertations to the repository through an online upload facility. The repository is part of the broader UPD Library digital infrastructure, which includes the TUKLAS discovery service and the Open Access Repository @ UPD.
