data.gov.my is Malaysia's official public sector open data portal, known as the Data Terbuka Sektor Awam (DTSA) portal. It was developed in 2014 and serves as a centralized, one-stop resource for citizens, researchers, and developers to access and download government-produced datasets. The portal has received international recognition, having been ranked 41st out of 86 countries in open data assessments. Malaysia's mission through the portal is to become the number one data-driven country in the world.
data.gov.my hosts datasets across a wide range of domains including demographics, health, education, economy, environment, public safety, and transportation. Data is provided in standard, machine-readable formats and is accompanied by interactive dashboards for many key datasets.
