Danny Feingold

Danny Feingold is the founder and publisher of the online news outlet Capital & Main, which reports from California on economic, environmental and social issues shaping the state and country. Under his leadership, Capital & Main has established itself as a young, but one of the more impactful investigative news publications in the Western U.S. Feingold has written for the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, Los Angeles Magazine, Salon and many other publications. He began his career with the Los Angeles-based weekly publication Village View, serving as politics and managing editor. He took a break from journalism in the late 1990s to serve as communications director of the advocacy organization Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy, where he oversaw national media and publicity efforts for many landmark public policy campaigns including LAANE’s living wage campaigns and its community benefits agreements, which have been replicated across the country.
