Franklin, Indiana, USA
The Daily Journal is a daily newspaper published Tuesday through Saturday in Franklin, Indiana, covering Johnson County, including Bargersville, Edinburgh, Greenwood, New Whiteland, Trafalgar and Whiteland. It also produces the weekly Edinburgh Courier.
The Daily Journal was established July 22, 1963, by Robert N. Brown as part of the Brown family's Home News Enterprises. The Daily Journal remained under Brown family ownership through Home News Enterprises until November 2015, when it was sold to AIM Media Indiana, an affiliate of AIM Media Texas. The paper has won the Hoosier State Press Association's Blue Ribbon Daily award for best local news coverage in Indiana, most recently in 2022, after also winning in 2009 and 2015.
