Daily Excelsior

Daily Excelsior is an English-language newspaper published in Jammu, India, covering Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, and is among the region's most circulated English dailies.

The paper was established by S.D. Rohmetra, launching as a weekly on January 1, 1965, and converting to a daily in 1967. It is currently edited by Kamal Rohmetra and Neeraj Rohmetra. On May 11, 2008, Daily Excelsior photojournalist Ashok Sodhi was killed by a stray bullet while photographing an armed confrontation in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The paper covers Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh government, security, and regional affairs, and maintains bureaus across the region and in New Delhi. Its online edition launched in October 1998.
