Use of DataCitizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) founded in 2003 is a nonpartisan nonprofit government watchdog based in Washington, DC. As a watchdog, CREW targets government officials who actively work against the common good for special interests and personal gain. It investigates, reports, and litigates misconduct in government by insisting on disclosure through Freedom of Information act requests, and by filing ethics complaints against congressional individuals, institutions, and agencies.
