Biography

Chris Morris is a contributing writer for Fast Company and a former contributing writer for Fortune, covering business, technology, entertainment, video games, and theme parks. A veteran journalist with more than 35 years of experience, he spent more than half of his career at major internet news sites, serving as director of content development at CNNMoney.com and as managing editor of Yahoo! Finance, where he oversaw changes that grew unique users by 61 percent, from 11.7 million to 18.8 million, in under a year. Since 2009 he has worked as a freelance reporter and writer, and his work has also appeared on CNBC.com, AARP, Nasdaq.com, Digital Trends, Voice of America, Common Sense Media, Reuters, USA Today, and Fox Business. He has covered the video game and consumer electronics industries since 1996 and has broken stories including the existence of the Game Boy Advance.
