Use of DataThe Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) was established in 1963. The CUHK Library has built a comprehensive digital repository to provide open access to its digitized and born-digital collections. University Archives were formally established in December 2015 under the auspices of the CUHK Library.
The CUHK Digital Repository encompasses millions of digital files across literature, culture, arts, politics, society, and religion. Major collections include: the Hong Kong Collection (digitized Hong Kong books, early textbooks, periodicals, and posters); Hong Kong Early Tabloid Newspapers; Cultural Revolution in Images: Caricature-Posters from Guangzhou 1966–1977; the David Hawkes Archive; the Chinese Rare Book Digital Collection (Yuan through Qing dynasty, to 1795); the Oracle Bones Collection (the largest of its kind in Hong Kong); the Sheng Xuanhuai Archive; the Bei Shan Tang Collection; the Rulan Chao Pian Collection; Chinese in Cuba Archive; and Electronic Theses and Dissertations. The University Archives digital collection provides online access to periodicals and historical CUHK institutional documents.
