The Carleton University School of Journalism and Communication, founded in 1940, is Canada’s oldest four year journalism program. The school is a founding member of the nationals organization of journalism programs, J-Schools Canada (Ecoles-J Canada), that are dedicated to the promotion of quality Canadian journalism education. The are affiliated with the World Journalism Education Council.
