Biography

Frank Bravo spent more than thirty years as director of IT and webmaster, later vice president and chief technology officer, of Embarcadero Media in Palo Alto, California, the parent company of community newspapers including the Palo Alto Weekly, Palo Alto Online, the Mountain View Voice, the Almanac, and the Pleasanton Weekly. He joined the company in 1993 and, in January 1994, led the technical work that made the Palo Alto Weekly the first newspaper to publish its entire print content on the internet. He also built a patent-pending online and print newspaper classifieds system and other web-to-print tools used across Embarcadero's publications. Bravo is now principal of Bravo IT Consulting in San Carlos, California, serves as chief technology officer of the legal services startup ProLegal, and hosts the podcast Your Tech Makeover.
