The Borealis Racial Equity Journalism Fund, a nonprofit founded in 2015, has grown to include nine collaborative funds that enhance impact across the country. They believe that in order to upend oppressive systems, support must be provided to those most impacted (such as queer, trans, and disabled groups). Borealis directs funding resources to those who work toward thriving communities. They invest in leaders, organizations, and movements to bring about transformation.
