Biography

Anthony "AB" Bonfiglio is chief technology officer of Boston Globe Media, where he leads the company's IT, product and engineering teams. A graduate of Boston University, he joined Boston Globe Media in July 2016 and has held roles including executive director of engineering and vice president of engineering, product and information technology before being named chief technology officer. In 2016 he took over oversight of digital operations, including engineering, product and design, across Boston Globe Media Partners, working alongside Linda Pizzuti Henry on a reorganization that repositioned Boston.com as a community-focused site distinct from the subscription-based BostonGlobe.com. Before joining Boston Globe Media, he worked at three technology startups, including as vice president of engineering at Visible Measures, a social video measurement company, and earlier held quality assurance roles at Idiom Technologies.
