Charlene Bisson is president and CEO of Independent Newsmedia, Inc. USA, a community news publisher operating newspapers and websites in Arizona, Delaware, Florida and Maryland. She holds a degree from Arizona State University and joined Independent Newsmedia in 1999, beginning her career as a journalist covering Glendale, Arizona, before covering Surprise, Arizona, a year later. She became publisher of the company's West Valley publications during the Great Recession and was later promoted to president and CEO.
