History

Big Island Now is one of several island-specific news sites operated by Pacific Media Group, alongside Maui Now and Kauai Now. Pacific Media Group has been led by President and CEO Chuck Bergson since March 1990 and owns and operates more than 20 radio stations across Maui, the Big Island, Kaua'i and O'ahu in addition to its digital news operations.
