Gina Bianchini is founder and CEO of Mighty Networks, a software platform enabling creators and entrepreneurs to build community-powered businesses, online courses, and membership programs; the platform reported $500 million in host earnings in 2025. She grew up in Cupertino, California, earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford University in 1994, and began her career in Goldman Sachs' High Technology Group before earning an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2000. In 2004, Bianchini co-founded Ning with Netscape co-founder Marc Andreessen, a platform allowing users to build custom social networks; under her leadership as CEO until 2010, Ning grew to nearly 100 million users across 300,000 active networks before being sold in 2010. She launched Mightybell in 2011, which evolved into Mighty Networks by 2017, developed while she was the first Entrepreneur in Residence at Andreessen Horowitz. Bianchini serves as a director on the board of TEGNA Inc., a broadcast and digital media company, and previously served as a director of Scripps Networks Interactive, owner of HGTV, Food Network, and Travel Channel, until its 2018 acquisition by Discovery Communications. She authored the book Purpose: Design a Community and Change Your Life (2022).
