The Bhutan Journal of Business and Management (BJBM) is a double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal published annually by the Gedu College of Business Studies (GCBS), a constituent college of the Royal University of Bhutan. The journal is hosted on an Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. It carries the print ISSN 2079-7680 and the online ISSN 2663-1784.
Gedu College of Business Studies was established in 2008 as a constituent college of the Royal University of Bhutan, following the transfer of the Department of Commerce from Sherubtse College. The establishment of a business college at Gedu was originally conceived by His Majesty the Fourth King of Bhutan, and resolved by the National Assembly in its 85th session. The college is located on a 184-acre campus in Gedu, Chukha District, in southwestern Bhutan — a campus originally developed by the Tala Hydropower Project Authority (THPA). In 2012, GCBS launched its first postgraduate program, the Master of Business Administration (MBA). It received an 'A' accreditation from the Bhutan Accreditation Council in 2017 and became a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 2019.
The BJBM OJS archive provides open access to all published volumes of the journal. The journal publishes empirical papers, review articles, executive experience-sharing, case studies, and research notes with a focus on management in the Bhutanese context. Its readership includes students, researchers, academicians, and policymakers at national and international levels.
All articles published in the BJBM are available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, permitting unrestricted use with appropriate attribution. The journal archive is freely accessible at bjbm.gcbs.edu.bt.
