Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA is a German media conglomerate. It was founded in 1835 by Carl Bertelsmann. It is now primarily controlled by the family of Reinhard Mohn, who helped Carl Bertelsmann expand the original publishing house into a large conglomerate.
