Biography

Bertelsmann Education Group is one of seven business divisions of Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, the German media, services and education conglomerate. Established in 2015 and headquartered in New York City, with additional offices in Gütersloh and Berlin, the division pools Bertelsmann's education-sector holdings, which focus on tertiary and continuing education and training in healthcare and other fields. Its portfolio includes Afya, Brazil's leading provider of medical education and training; Relias, a U.S. continuing education and workforce management solutions provider for healthcare organizations; and Alliant International University. Bertelsmann's broader education investments began with the 2014 acquisition of Relias Learning and were consolidated under the Education Group umbrella the following year; the division reported $1.1 billion in revenue and $424 million in operating EBITDA for fiscal year 2025.
