Berkshire Hathaway is an American holding company. It was founded in 1839 by Oliver Chace as a textile manufacturing business. It transformed into its current form in 1962 under the leadership of Warren Buffett. The company owns the WPLG ABC-affiliated television station. In 2020, it sold its newspaper publishing businesses to Lee Enterprises. Warren Buffett serves as the CEO, and the company has around 396,500 employees.
