Lilith Bat-Leah is a data science and eDiscovery specialist who serves as Senior Director of AI Labs at Epiq, a legal services and technology company. She holds a BS in Organizational Behavior from Northwestern University, earned magna cum laude. She has more than a decade of experience managing, delivering and consulting on eDiscovery, including the identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis and production of digital data, and has provided expert testimony in domestic and international court proceedings. Her work focuses on applying statistics, analytics, machine learning and data science to eDiscovery and to natural language and other unstructured data; earlier in her career she served as Vice President of Data Services at Mod Op Strategic Consulting. She writes and speaks on topics including ESI protocols, statistical sampling and technology-assisted review, and is a member of the Sedona Conference's Working Groups 1 and 13, a founding board member of the ACEDS Chicago Chapter, a board member of the ACEDS New York Chapter, and a former member of the EDRM Global Advisory Council. She co-chairs the Data-Centric Machine Learning Research (DMLR) working group with MLCommons and serves as an advisor to the Common Crawl Foundation, the nonprofit that maintains a large open archive of web crawl data.
