Bakken Beacon Media LLC is a Fargo, North Dakota-based radio broadcasting and online media company providing news, weather and talk programming for the Bakken oil patch region of western North Dakota, doing business as Flag Family Media and Fieldstone Group.

History

Bakken Beacon Media is co-owned by Steve Hallstrom and Scott Hennen and owns AM radio stations including WZFG-AM in Fargo ("AM 1100 The Flag") and KTGO-AM, serving Williston, Tioga and Watford City ("AM 1090 The Flag"), which airs syndicated conservative talk programming including The Hugh Hewitt Show, The Charlie Kirk Show and The Mark Levin Show. In 2025, Bakken Beacon Media's Flag Family subsidiary completed its purchase of WDAY Radio, North Dakota's first licensed radio station (established 1922), from Forum Communications Company, after operating the station under a management agreement since November 2020.
