Wilmore, Kentucky, USA
The Asbury Collegian is the student newspaper of Asbury University, a private Christian liberal arts university in Wilmore, Kentucky, produced through the university's Student Life Office.
Student newspapers at Asbury (then Asbury College) date to as early as 1915, and The Collegian itself has run continuously since 1925. Over the school's history it has coexisted with a number of unofficial, student-run underground publications, including a 1968 periodical called "The Time Capsule" and a controversial anonymous 2005-era pamphlet known as the "Red Book." The paper publishes weekly in print during the academic year and continuously online, with student staff also producing video for the website.
The Collegian is produced out of Asbury's Miller Communication Arts Center newsroom and CNN-style news bureau, where students from across the university's multimedia journalism program collaborate on print, broadcast and digital editions of the paper.
The paper is staffed by Asbury University journalism students; editorial leadership rotates among student editors each academic year.
The Collegian serves the Asbury University student body, faculty and staff in Wilmore, Kentucky, with free copies distributed at locations across campus, including the student union and cafeteria.
