Use of DataThe Armenian Legal Information System (ARLIS) is an online database of legal acts of the Republic of Armenia, operated under the aegis of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia through its subsidiary the "Official Bulletin" CJSC. ARLIS is one of several interlinked legal and governmental information systems in Armenia, alongside Datalex (judicial portal), e-Register (state register of legal persons), and others. It provides comprehensive, freely accessible coverage of Armenian legislation in Armenian, Russian, and English.
ARLIS provides access to the full body of Armenian legislation, including the Constitution, laws and codes, presidential decrees, decisions of the National Assembly, Government and Prime Minister resolutions, Constitutional Court decisions, normative acts of the Central Bank, and international treaties signed by Armenia. The database covers legal acts from the establishment of the independent Republic of Armenia and includes the complete text of each act in its current version. A dataset extracted from ARLIS has been published as an open data resource containing approximately 23 GB of uncompressed legal text with full metadata.
ARLIS is freely accessible online at arlis.am without registration. It is recommended as a key source for researching Armenian legislation by international organisations including the UNCCD (United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification). The platform supports multi-document search and is available in Armenian, Russian, and English. Google Chrome's translation feature can be used for access in other languages.
