Biography

Ahmad Al-Fahad is the Executive Director of Technology and Network Operations at Al Jazeera Media Network, a role he has held since June 2018. He joined Al Jazeera in 2012 as Executive Director of the Projects Department, where he managed the implementation of internal and external strategic projects from planning through execution and completion. Before joining Al Jazeera, he spent eleven years at the QATARGAS Company as Manager of the Projects Department, including work as a member of the project management team constructing the South Hook LNG receiving terminal in the United Kingdom, owned by Qatar Petroleum Company. Al-Fahad earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 2001 and an executive MBA from HEC Paris in 2017. His achievements at Al Jazeera include launching and completing the network's workplace transformation project and a new Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system, as well as establishing a corporate projects division and a maintenance division and developing the network's project management framework, the latter in partnership with the Boston Consulting Group. He also serves as a board member of the Qatar Satellite Company (EshailSat) and a member of its Audit Committee.
